Wallace – Samuel Hugh Davidson, 93, formerly of Wallace died at 2:41 am Tuesday in Williamsburg Healthcare Center, Crawfordsville.  He had been a resident there for the past three months.  Born south of Veedersburg on Oct 3, 1898 he graduated from Wallace HS in 1919 and lived in Indianapolis and Zionsville before moving back to Wallace in 1963. He married Margaretta Haas on March 23, 1935.  She survives and lives in Crawfordsville.  Mr. Davidson farmed before moving to Indianapolis where he worked in a grocery warehouse. He worked in a retail grocery in Zionsville before retiring in 1963.  He was a member of Wallace Christian Church and Harborview Christian Church in Port Charlotte, Fla where he and his wife spent the winter months. He also was a member of Wallace Masonic Lodge 495, Fountain Chapter 204, Order of Eastern Star at Kingman and Golden Circle Senior Citizens of Wallace. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth E. Davidson of Crawfordsville and Robert D. Davidson of Indianapolis; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Brunot of Indianapolis; Mrs. Margaret Brown of Mellott and Mrs Nina Crim of Lawrenceville, Ga. Services are Friday in Hillsboro. =kz
